UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 Hub – USB-C & HDMI 4K

A friend asked me for advice when she needed a new USB-C hub for her work laptop. While both my Lenovo ThinkPad T490 and Dell Latitude 5421 have sufficient ports for external accessories, I always carry the UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 docking station with my travel gear, mainly for the extra 4K HDMI and a 100W USB-C port that can also charge your phone.

Key Features UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 Hub

On the product page of the UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 docking station, you can read the following key features:

  • Powerful PD100W USB-C Hub: UGREEN USB C Hub has 100W PD, 4K HDMI, 3 USB A ports.
  • 100W Ultra Fast Charging Port: Charging during data transfer.
  • High-resolution HDMI output: Enjoy 4K visuals.
  • Universal Compatibility: Works with a variety of devices.
  • Durable and good heat dissipation: High-quality aluminum design.

The 100W power output could potentially charge a Apple Macbook Pro or my own Lenovo ThinkPad T490 that comes with a 65W (travel) charger.

Having the ability to connect another screen to the Dell Latitude 5421, especially when I’m not in my home office or at a BMC Software office, that both have a docking station to use multiple HDMI powered monitors with the Microsoft Windows (10 and 11) laptop.

The other USB-A ports work as expected, and allow for easily connecting an external USB drive.

Not a key product feature, but simply a quality material feature is the use of an aluminum casing of the UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 docking station. Both the 5-in-1 docking station as well as the USB-C cable tip are build from aluminum.

Concluding thoughts and wrap-up

The price point (in the Netherlands) for the UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 docking station is now € 14,00 which is a hard to beat value-for-money ratio.

If I would need to be critical, I would mention the woven/braided USB-C cable attached to the UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 docking station. I prefer to have a full rubber cable. In addition the cable is just a tiny bit to short so you cold fold the cable along the (longest) side of the Revodok 5-in-1 docking station (now it would be aluminum casing rubbing against the cable tip).

The UGREEN Revodok 5-in-1 docking station is part of my travel gear that I pack in a Gear Pouch from SFbags (Waterfield Design) while travelling for business.

  • Do you use a portable docking station or USB hub ?
  • If so, which brand and model are you using ?
